2010 Speech From The Throne
Bonjour
Did You Know?

Budget 2011-12 provided an additional $250 million to be used by the Regional Health Authorities to shorten wait times, enhance kidney and bone marrow transplant programs and increase health testing and screening appointments.

Consumers who purchase ready-to-serve beverages in Saskatchewan must pay two fees to the Government. One is an environmental handling charge which goes to offset the environmental cost of beverage containers. The other is a refundable deposit designed to encourage consumers to return their beverage containers for recycling.

Manufacturers and distributors selling ready-to-serve beverages in approved containers are required to be licenced by Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management.

The Revenue Division has prepared a bulletin to help explain how the Beverage Container Program applies in specific situations.
Download and print the Beverage Container Program form.
